Springvale Energy Hub is at the forefront of innovation, combining large-scale energy storage, solar and electric vehicle charging in a single metropolitan location.
The project in Melbourne’s south-east will deliver fast, reliable support and stability for Victoria’s electricity network.
The project is backed by the Federal Government's Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS), recognising its contribution to Australia's renewable energy transition.
The CIS supports projects that strengthen grid reliability and energy affordability, which the Victorian Energy and Resources Minister Lily D’Ambrosio, says is critical.
“Victoria is the home of big batteries and this investment from the Commonwealth for additional storage projects will accelerate the build of renewable energy storage across our state,” the Minister said.
